Milano 11/12/2007 - From the world of tulips to that of orchids: these precious orchids have come a long way from their original Thailand and now unite the two countries: the Netherlands and the Thai Kingdom. Their story has also revealed the anonymous Dutch man whose passion and love affair with orchids led to the creation of Vanda.

Splendid, with a simple bloom of just three sepals and three petals, the Thai Vanda orchid is the result of nearly 15 years of careful breeding. Its predecessors were selected to isolate the most spectacular features of the plant. These techniques of hybridisation have produced after 15 years, the Queen of Orchids, a dream come true for its creators.
